An Ancient Folk Art of India~

As I mentioned above, Every person has certain hobbies. Drawing is something I enjoy doing in my free time and it is my favorite hobby. Although I love to dance and sing, drawing has a special place in my heart. I have studies about "Madhubani Art" and it's therapy from long time back. It was a great mind therapy during studies. This attempt made me calm and peaceful. I have composed one at "Madhubani Art" which I created.

Madhubani painting is one of the many famous Indian art forms. As it is practiced in the Mithila region of Bihar and Nepal, it is called Mithila or Madhubani art. Often characterized by complex geometrical patterns, these paintings are known for representing ritual content for particular occasions, including festivals, religious rituals, etc. The colors used in Madhubani paintings are usually derived from plants and other natural sources. These colors are often bright and pigments like lampblack and ochre are used to create black and brown respectively. The themes used in these paintings often revolve around Hindu deities like Krishna, Rama, Lakshmi, Shiva, Durga and Saraswati. Also, heavenly bodies like the Sun and the Moon often form the centerpiece of Madhubani paintings. Natural and bold colors like red, yellow, blue, black, etc. are used in Madhubani paintings.
