 Rumi Darwaza 


I have written about my visit to Lucknow in the previous article and I am ready to tell you about the places I visited next.


One of the main attractions in Lucknow. The Rumi Darwaza is a grand gate to the city. Rumi Darwaza is one of the most beautiful grand gate I have seen.The gateway is fits for a royal welcome. The architecture of the Rumi Darwaza is in Nawab style though it has some Mughal style. It's lovely ans intricate feature in the heart of Lucknow.

Bara Imambara

The most beautiful and striking building in Lucknow for me was the Bara Imambara.


What is an Imambara?

It literally means the residence of the Imam. It specially means an assembly hall where the shia muslims gather together to have religious ceremonies.
The Bara Imambara is magnificently built. Just as we entered from the giant gate Rumi Darawaza we were awed by the grand structures, gardens and huge buildings. Everything was on a grand scale.
Bara Imambara is impressive ans unique in it's architectural design. The view from the terrace of the Bara Imambara is so stunning.

The Chota Imambara was my another quick photo stop. It was much smaller than the Bara Imambara.

Beautiful Reservoir, DANDENIYA

  DANDENIYA LAKE  Dandeniya is a village in "Aparekka". Dandeniya tank, the water reservoir is one of tourist attraction place in Matara District. It's covers the area 42 acres. Despite all this it is very beautiful place to visit and have a weekend with friends together. The tank is 20km away from Matara town. It is a beautiful place.  And it would help if you always were careful enough to have fun while keeping the environment clean.  Please remember not to throw empty bottles, plastic waste, and trash. Nature is a beautiful place if you know how to treat it well.
